There is life in the West Midlands! The Fight hail from Dudley and are one of the few British bands to have signed for Fat Wreck Chords. Lead singer Kate (K8) is 18, 16 year old brother Jack is on drums and 17 year olds, Link and Matty V play guitar and bass. This is vintage new old skool with more than a little of the X-Ray Spex and the Ramones about them.

Kate from The Fight interviewed by Katey Jarvis

I caught up with Kate the very feisty front woman from Dudley band The Fight for a mini interview, just before the band went on stage. A very nice girl who hates the snow!

KJ - Highlight so far?

K - The music

KJ - Thoughts on Glasgow?

K - Every time I come here I have an amazing time its so much fun.

KJ - Rancid?

K - I’ve loved their band for so long, it was great touring with them, they are lovely guys, i've learnt so much from Tim.

K - Not Drunk Enough!

KJ - Looking forward to going back home?

K - NO! Its snowing and we have to drive back tonight, yuk!
