Broken - Emo Grinder

We spoke in warm terms about the last demo tape from Broken, "The Nine Foot Chamber" and now they've returned with a new 4 track offering "Emo Grinder".

Musically we're still firmly in nu metal territory with nods to the all out funk metal assault of Rage Against The Machine. However, Broken still have the schizophrenic twin vocal approach that made them stand out in the first place. Combining the Jonathan Davis patent whine with some full blown death vox keeps you on your toes.

The production is still a bit muted, and there's an element of cardboard box about the drums but this is another step in the right direction. Pick of the bunch - "Throwing Shapes" - aggression par excellence. Century Media, where are you?
