Vodka Camels - Somebody Spiked My Girlfriend (and I Liked It)

Call it what you will College/Indie/Lo-Fi/rock/brit-pop, but The Vodka Camels are a bit good. We reviewed Molotov Cocktail back in April 2000 and were well smitten. And here's the 5 track follow up to prove that it was no fluke. We thought that " 'Go Go Angel' was the most addictive ditty of all, with a swirling swooping riff and a chorus that leaps out of nowhere before rushing back into hiding..."
The good news is that the Camels have kept up the good work here, with the title track and "Marathon" proving to be the best of a fine bunch. "Marathon" is a moody little bugger which insinuates itself under your skin until you can't shake it off. Excellent stuff and one that wouldn't disgrace a Mansun LP.
