Emetrex - Staring At The Stone (Seriously Groovy CDS)

Another fine. fine offering from Emetrex. As time goes on they're becoming ever more psychedelic with a penchant for spacey droning, never to better effect that on third track, "Saturn With The Rings". But thats getting ahead of ourselves because opening track "Staring At The Stone" is an oddly catchy, melodic example of Mercury Rev type melancholy and t'other track "No Big Loss" is ana coustic lament worthy of Lambchop, all world weary and near-broken vox. They've had a good year and this is the best yet.
