THEATRE OF THE MACABRE - A Paradise In Flesh & Blood (Root of all Evil)

After his solo work and his work with Lorde Of All Desires, Le'Rue Delashay has seen fit to reform his forst band, Theatre of the Macabre. After the keyboard based delights of his solo releases, "The Court Composer" and "Musick in Theory and Practice", this is more of a return to his black metal roots.

However, his solo experiences have left their mark and there is a more melodic side embellishing this project. That, combined with the brutal guitar sound and classic, harsh black metal vocals make for an extremely powerful listening experience. There's an undercurrent of orchestral majesty to many of the numbers, especially "What Wicked Web She Weaves / Enraptured By Temptation", the standout tracks.

By the time you read this the European release on Demolition Records ought to be out and about As they say, "Come with us, let us show you the depths of insanity, the horrors unknown, the madness within even the most depraved mind". And just so the Cradle of Filth fans can start cowering Theatre of the Macabre are planning a visit to Europe next summer. Be very afraid:-)
