Shay - Dreamers & Stalkers (Shay)

This one arrived courtesy of those lovely Stone Premonitions people, and it's easy to see why they are enamoured of it.

Wistful, acoustic based psyche, there is some truly beautiful music on offer here. "The Storyteller" is straight out of the blissful world of the Innocence Mission, topped off with evocatice vocals from Shay mainstay Finn Miller. A bit of a show off, Finn writes all the songs, sings, plays guitar, keyboards and clarinet.

Particular highlights are the aforementioned "..Storyteller", "I Built My House" which glides along on a deceptive rhythm track and the highly hypnotic "Closer To The Sun".

An excellent CD with plenty to offer, highly recommended.
